"We choose JM Longley from a short list of three local builders having found his advert online. He seemed friendly and flexible which was important to our development. Our project was a major renovation of our chaotic garden into a usable, simple to maintain space with a studio in the garden to work from.
John and his son John worked tirelessly and with humour as the rain fell. Digging out the garden and laying enormously heavy slabs of beautiful York stone.As the work developed, John senior was very obliging when we changed our ideas time and time again to incorporate design changes as the project unfolded, never complaining, simply doing as we instructed to a tight budget.
They constructed the studio from plans that we drew up, and tinkered with as we went along. The build is strong and accurate, and now happily housing our business.
I would strongly recommend JM Longley to anyone. They are a friendly, professional outfit, and were accurate to their quote.Just beware of there tea making though. It tends to be thick and dark. My idea of hell!"
